2019 Sculling Camp for Juniors
July 15 – 19, 2019
Last year’s SLRC trial sculling camp program for juniors was a success! It is being expanded and offered again this year!! Our Introduction to Sculling will provide experienced junior sweep rowers with a unique opportunity to learn how to scull (row with two oars rather than one).
This one-week program is designed to introduce junior rowers to the fundamentals of sculling. Practices will include rowing in stable singles, doubles or quads with video recording and review to aid in the learning process.
Varsity Girls Coach and experienced sculling coach, Brian Bartek, along with Adult Intermediate/Advanced Sculling coach, Steve Giddings, will be leading this exciting expanded five-day program.
The format will be: early short dock talk, row until ~10:00am, video review, snack and talk from 10:00-11:30am, row again ~11:30am-12:30pm, then a wrap-up.
Don’t miss this chance to enhance your overall rowing skills while learning to scull! This is program is a first-come, first-served opportunity. Your payment secures your spot!
